Sarah and daughter, Chloe run a very successful Delicatessen in the busy town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey. Based in Church Street you will always be able to find something to tantalise your taste buds. Sarah, who has been in the catering trade all her working life, now directs her culinery skills towards producing freshly made dishes for both the Delicatessen and The Coffee Shop, specialising in, amongst other things, quiches and salads.
After eight years of not only working hard to build up the business, there has been a chance for the family to travel and experience new flavours and, with a little inspiration, Sarah and Chloe have always new and tasty ideas up their sleeves!
The range of products is ever changing but is always top quality and ranging from Greek, Italian and Spanish to keeping it local. The cheese counter itself is awe inspiring with over 100 Welsh, English and Continental cheeses...with tasters on the counter so that you are encouraged to sample new and exciting flavours. Being an established business in a known honey-pot area, there are now many new and exciting Welsh producers seeking the right people and places to sell. Sarah and Chloe feel they have the right enthusiasm to do so.
It's always nice to know that you can go and seek advice from someone who knows what they are selling and talking about. At the Delicatessen and Coffee House all the employees are there to offer recommendations or to help you out with a little inspiration. If they haven't got what you are looking for they are more than willing to recommend an alternative.
The food hamper is becoming one of the most popular gifts of today and can be tailor made for any person. In the Delicatessen, instead of having fixed products in every hamper, the motto is:-
"You know the person better than we do"
...So you choose bits and pieces and the size of the box you wish to givend one of the staff will gift wrap it for you there and then if you wish. Their biggest seller is cheese and now you can walk away with a freshly cut selection in a presentation box - ideal if you have planned a dinner party or are looking for that perfect gift for someone who has everything!
